บทคัดย่อ
สำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตเป็นห้องสมุดที่มีนโยบาย แผนและการดำเนินงานที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม การจัดการขยะและของเสีย เป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่ต้องมีการดำเนินการ สำนักหอสมุดได้มีการศึกษาข้อมูลเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับประเภทและปริมาณขยะและของเสียที่เกิดขึ้นในอาคารหอสมุด ตลอดจนเส้นทางขยะและการกำจัด ได้นำข้อมูลมาพัฒนากระบวนการจัดการขยะ อันประกอบด้วย การแยกประเภทขยะที่เกิดขึ้นภายในหอสมุด การจัดหาถังขยะพร้อมป้ายบ่งชี้ขยะแต่ละประเภท กำหนดที่จุดตั้งถังขยะ การกำหนดมาตรการการจัดการขยะ การคัดแยกขยะก่อนทิ้ง การสร้างจุดพักขยะ การลดการใช้พลาสติก การห้ามนำโฟมเข้ามาในอาคาร เส้นทางเดินขยะ การนำขยะที่ใช้ได้อีกมาใช้งาน มีการรณรงค์การใช้ซ้ำ ใช้ใหม่ การจัดประชุมแบบเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม (Green meeting) การรณรงค์นำกล่องหรือปิ่นโตใส่อาหาร การใช้ถุงผ้า รวมทั้งการจัดกิจกรรมประดิษฐ์ของใช้จากขยะรีไซเคิลแก่ผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดและหน่วยงานภายนอก การดำเนินการดังกล่าวเป็นการช่วยลดปริมาณขยะที่ปล่อยออกไปนอกหอสมุดและนอกมหาวิทยาลัย เกิดการชะลอปริมาณขยะ ซึ่งปัจจุบันอยู่ในภาวะที่น่าห่วงใย ขยะจำนวนมหาศาลนอกจากจะเป็นแหล่งทำลายสุขภาวะแล้ว ยังสร้างก๊าซมีเทนซึ่งทำลายชั้นบรรยากาศโลกและก่อให้เกิดก๊าซเรือนกระจกอีกด้วย สำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตได้มีการดำเนินงานในเรื่องการจัดการขยะและกิจกรรมรณรงค์การนำขยะมาใช้ซ้ำได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของสหประชาชาติ ในเรื่องของการพัฒนาสู่ความเป็นชุมชนที่ยั่งยืน การมีความรับผิดชอบต่อการบริโภคอุปโภค และผลกระทบที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสภาพภูมิอากาศของโลก
Abstract
The library has conducted a preliminary study on the type and amount of waste and waste generated in the library building as well as waste routes and disposal. The information was used to develop waste management processes including the classification of waste that occurs in the library. Rangsit University Library has developed an environmentally friendly policy, plan, and action since 2016. Waste management is one of the major issues. The library has conducted a preliminary study on the type and amount of waste and waste generated in the library building as well as waste routes and disposal. The information was used to develop waste management processes including the type of waste classification, waste bins acquiring and labeling, the trash locating, formulation of waste management measures, garbage sorting, and weighing, garbage breakpoint setting, reducing the use of plastics, banning foam into the building, and reusing of usable waste. There are campaigns and activities in promoting waste reduction such as a green meeting, food or lunch box carrying, cloth bag carrying, as well as a DIY recycled waste product and craft workshop for library users. These will help reduce and slow down the amount of waste which is currently in a state of concern. Besides, waste is a source of destruction of health. It generates methane, which destroys the earth's atmosphere and causes greenhouse gases. Rangsit University Library has been working on waste management and waste reuse campaign effectively and corresponding to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on the matter of developing into a sustainable community, being responsible for consumption, and the impact on global climate change.
