Problems and Obstacles in Information Technology of Employees Work from Home during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic: A Case Study Private Company in Bangkok

บทคัดย่อ

         การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศในการทำงาน จากที่บ้าน ช่วงสถานการณ์การระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา-19 2) ศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศของพนักงานบริษัทในการทำงานจากที่บ้าน ช่วงสถานการณ์การระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนา-19  กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นพนักงานบริษัทเอกชนแห่งหนึ่ง ในจังหวัดกรุงเทพมหานคร  โดยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย จำนวน 83 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้สำหรับการวิจัยได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) สภาพการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ด้านอุปกรณ์ฮาร์ดแวร์ ใช้คอมพิวเตอร์แบบพกพามากที่สุด (ร้อยละ 51.81)  ด้านซอฟต์แวร์    ส่วนใหญ่ใช้โปรแกรมเฉพาะของบริษัท และ โปรแกรมพื้นฐานทั่วไป (ร้อยละ 71.08) และด้านเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต ส่วนใหญ่ใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตบ้าน (ร้อยละ 61.45)  2) ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม พบว่าด้านระบบสารสนเทศและอินเทอร์เน็ตมีปัญหาและอุปสรรค เมื่อพิจารณารายข้อพบว่า อินเทอร์เน็ตมีความเร็วเหมาะสมในการทำงาน ในระดับมากที่สุด ( ค่าเฉลี่ย=4.53, S.D=0.28) ด้านอุปกรณ์ฮาร์ดแวร์ พบว่ารายข้ออุปกรณ์ต่อพ่วง เช่น เครื่องพิมพ์ เครื่องสแกนเครื่องสำรองไฟ เพียงพอต่อการใช้งาน ในระดับมากที่สุด (ค่าเฉลี่ย =4.51, S.D=0.24) ด้านซอฟต์แวร์ พบว่าซอฟต์แวร์ใช้งานง่าย ไม่ซับซ้อน ในระดับมาก ( ค่าเฉลี่ย=4.22, S.D=0.27)  และด้านบุคลากร พบว่าพนักงานมีความสามารถสามารถแก้ไขปัญหา และบำรุงรักษา อุปกรณ์ฮาร์ดแวร์ ซอฟต์แวร์ และระบบเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต ได้ด้วยตนเอง ในระดับมากที่สุด ( ค่าเฉลี่ย=4.50, S.D=0.22)

Abstract

        The purposes of this research were 1) to study the conditions of the company employees’ information technology usage when working from home during the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and 2) to study their problems and obstacles in using information technology when working from home. The simple random sampling method was used to recruit 83 employees in a private company in Bangkok. The research instrument was a questionnaire and the statistics used for data analysis included means, percentages, and standard deviation. The research results are summarized as follows: 1) the respondents’ conditions of using information technology, it was found that the most-used hardware equipment was the portable computer (51.81%); the most-used software was the specific corporate programs and general basic programs (71.08%); and the most-used internet network was home internet (61.45%). 2) The respondents’ problems and obstacles in using information technology, it was found that the information system and the internet was at the highest level. In each aspect, the highest level of problem exited in the adequate internet speed  ( mean = 4.53, S.D = 0.28). In terms of hardware equipment, the aspect that had the highest level of problem included peripherals such as printer, scanners, and power supply were sufficient for work ( mean = 4.51, S.D = 0.24). Regarding the software, the simple and user-friendly software was one aspect with high level of problem (mean = 4.22, S.D = 0.27) In the aspect of personnel, the highest level of problem was found in the personnel who possessed the abilities to solve problems and maintain hardware/software and internet network system by themselves (  mean = 4.50, S.D = 0.22).
