        ชุมชนเข้มแข็งเป็นรากฐานสำคัญในการพัฒนาประเทศ การพัฒนาชุมชนโดยให้การศึกษาจำเป็นต้องสร้างปัจจัยสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ แนวคิดศูนย์เรียนรู้ชุมชนถือเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการสนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ที่องค์การการศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติใช้ในการขับเคลื่อนโครงการการศึกษาเพื่อปวงชนในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิก บทความนี้นำเสนอความเป็นมาและความสำคัญ บทบาทหน้าที่ การดำเนินงานของศูนย์เรียนรู้ชุมชนในประเทศไทย และปัจจัยที่สนับสนุนให้การดำเนินงานของศูนย์เรียนรู้ชุมชนประสบความสำเร็จ

Abstract

        Strong functioning communities are fundamental to country development.  Education, which serves as a tool for community development, requires learning facilities.  The concept of Community Learning Center is a key mechanism used by UNESCO for implementing the Asia-Pacific Programme of Education for All  (APPEAL). This article presents the background, rationale, and roles of community learning centers.  It explains different approaches used in implementing community learning centers in Thailand.  It also mentions factors contributing to the success of community learning centers
