บทคัดย่อ

        เอกสารจดหมายเหตุ  ถือเป็นเอกสาร หรือ หลักฐานที่สำคัญ  ขององค์กร  หน่วยงาน สถาบัน  และบุคคล  เพราะเป็นเอกสารที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงพัฒนาการในด้านต่างๆ   ของหน่วยงานหรือองค์กรนั้น ๆ  หรือแม้แต่บุคคล  สามารถใช้เป็นหลักฐานเพื่อป้องกันสิทธิ และประโยชน์ส่วนตน  โดยบทความนี้จะได้กล่าวถึง  ความหมาย  ความสำคัญของจดหมายเหตุที่มีต่อองค์กร  บุคคล และสังคม  รวมทั้งการจำแนกประเภทของจดหมายเหตุ  และตัวอย่างของหอจดหมายเหตุในประเทศไทย ที่น่าสนใจและน่าศึกษาค้นคว้า

Abstract

        Archives are considered important documents and evidence of an organization, department, institution, and individual because it shows development in various areas of those organizations and even individual.  Archives can be used as evidence to protect individual rights and benefits.  This article will refer to the meaning and importance of archives to organizations, individuals, and the society, and will distinguish the different types of archives as well as give examples of interesting archives in Thailand.
