THE QUALITIES AND BASIC SKILLS FOR THE PRIMARY SCHOOL LIBRARIANS OF THE PRIVATE EDUCATION COMMISSION IN BANGKOK
บทคัดย่อ
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the desirable attributes and basic skills of librarians after the opinion of experts in Library and Information Science 2) to study the desirable and operational basic attributes and skills of librarians and 3) to compare the desirable and operational basic attributes and skills of librarians at Primary Schools under Private Education Commission Office in Bangkok. The sample included 408 persons involving 18 experts, 195 executives, and 195 librarians. Data was collected using interview schedule and 5-point rating scale questionnaire and checklist and was statistically analyzed in percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The findings revealed as follows:
1. The desirable attributes and basic skills of librarians after the opinion of experts in Library and Information Science according to the experts were generally found at the high level.
2. The operational attributes and basic skills of librarian at Primary Schools under Private Education Commission Office in Bangkok were as follows:
2.1 The desirable attributes of librarians were generally found at the high level. After item analysis, desirable ability was rated with the highest mean followed by knowledge, and educational qualifications.
2.2 The desirable basic skills of librarians were generally found at the high level. After item analysis, desirable service and activities were rated with the highest mean followed by administration and techniques
2.3 The operational attributes of librarians were generally found at the high level. After item analysis, ability was the was rated with the highest mean followed by knowledge and educational knowledge.
2.4 The operational basic skills of librarians were generally found at the high level. After item analysis, service and activities were rated with the highest mean followed by technique and administration.
3. The operational attributes and basic skills were found lower than desirable ones in all aspects–service and activities, techniques, ability, and knowledge.
Abstract
การวิจัยครั้งมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาคุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์ของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดตามความคิดเห็นของผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทางด้านบรรณารักษศาสตร์และสารสนเทศศาสตร์ 2) ศึกษาคุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนที่พึงประสงค์และที่ปฏิบัติจริงในปัจจุบัน และ 3) เปรียบเทียบคุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์กับสภาพที่ปฏิบัติจริงของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชนในเขตกรุงเทพมหานคร กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยนี้ ได้แก่ ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 18 คน ผู้บริหาร 195 คน และบรรณารักษ์ 195 คน รวม 408 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์และแบบสอบถามมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับและแบบตรวจสอบรายการ สถิติที่
ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและการทดสอบค่าทีผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. คุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์ของบรรณารักษ์โรงเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ พบว่า โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก
2. คุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์ของบรรณารักษ์โรงเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชน ในเขตกรุงเทพมหานครที่ปฏิบัติจริงในปัจจุบัน ดังนี้
2.1 คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านความสามารถพึงประสงค์มากที่สุด รองลงมาคือด้านความรู้ และวุฒิการศึกษาตามลำดับ
2.2 ทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์ โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านบริการและกิจกรรมพึงประสงค์มากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ ด้านบริหารงาน และด้านเทคนิคตามลำดับ
2.3 คุณลักษณะที่ปฏิบัติจริงในปัจจุบัน โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านความสามารถ เป็นคุณลักษณะที่ปฏิบัติจริงมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือด้านความรู้ และวุฒิการศึกษา ตามลำดับ
2.4 ทักษะพื้นฐานที่ปฏิบัติจริงในปัจจุบัน โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านบริการและกิจกรรมเป็นคุณลักษณะที่ปฏิบัติจริงมากที่สุดรองลงมา คือ ด้านเทคนิค และด้านบริหารงานตามลำดับ
3. คุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่ปฏิบัติจริงในปัจจุบันต่ำกว่าคุณลักษณะและทักษะพื้นฐานที่พึงประสงค์ในด้านบริการและกิจกรรม ด้านงานเทคนิค ด้านความสามารถ และด้านความรู้
