พฤติกรรมการเลือกเล่นเกมออนไลน์บนคอมพิวเตอร์และสมาร์ทโฟนเพื่อความบันเทิงของคนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศทางตะวันออกกลาง : กรณีศึกษาประเทศกาตาร์ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ และโอมาน

The Behavior of Choosing to Play Online Games on Computers and Smartphones for Entertainment of Thai People Living in The Middle East Countries : A Case Study of Qatar,United Arab Emirates, and Oman

บทคัดย่อ

        การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะประชากร เพื่อศึกษาการยอมรับการใช้เทคโนโลยี เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการดำเนินชีวิต สังคมและวัฒนธรรม และเพื่อศึกษาว่าเกมออนไลน์มีผลทำให้เกิดทางเลือกด้านความบันเทิงของคนไทยในตะวันออกกลาง ประเทศกาตาร์ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ และประเทศโอมาน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษามาจากประชากรคนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศกาตาร์ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ และประเทศโอมาน จำนวน 400 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษา คือ แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ที่มีการตรวจสอบความเที่ยงตรงของเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติเชิงอ้างอิง โดยมีการคำนวณหาค่า T-Test และมีการใช้การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One-Way ANOVA) ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย กลุ่มอายุระหว่าง 21-30 ปี มีสถานภาพโสด การศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มีรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือนตั้งแต่ 50,001 บาท ขึ้นไป เลือกเล่นเกมออนไลน์ผ่านสมาร์ทโฟนมากกว่าการเล่นเกมออนไลน์ผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์ โดยผู้เล่นส่วนใหญ่เล่นเกมออนไลน์เฉลี่ย 1–2 ชั่วโมงต่อวัน มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการเล่นเกมออนไลน์เพื่อพักผ่อน หากิจกรรมทำยามว่าง และประเภทเกมที่เลือกเล่นส่วนใหญ่เป็นแบบ MMORPG จากการทดสอบสมมติฐาน พบว่า เกมออนไลน์ บนคอมพิวเตอร์และสมาร์ทโฟนมีผลทำให้เกิดเป็นทางเลือกด้านความบันเทิง ของคนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศทางตะวันออกกลาง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

Abstract

       This research aims to study: 1) population behavior; 2) technology acceptance;  3) lifestyle, culture; and 4) online game decisions in entertainment for Thai people living in the Middle East. This is a case study of Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman. The samples used in the study were from 400 Thai people living in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman. The online questionnaires were used to collect data. The experts had checked all questions. Descriptive statistics were employed.  The researcher analyzed the collected data in terms of percentages, means, and standard deviations.

      Moreover, a T-test and One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were also used. The study shows that most of the respondents were single men aged between 21–30 years old, graduated with a bachelor’s degree, and having an average income of more than THB50,001 per month. Smartphones were used to play online games more than computers. Time spent playing online games is 1–2 hours/day. The respondent plays the online game to relax. It is a leisure activity. The most type of game that respondents choose to play is MMORPG. In the hypothesis testing, it was found that online games on computers and smartphones are an alternative entertainment for Thai people living in the Middle East, indicating statistically significant at .05 level.
